I was just looking thru random pictures and found these that I meant to put up when I got home from Tennessee... three weeks ago. Well, better late than never.
Anyways I was exhausted and slept thru take-off, and when I woke up this is what I saw (cue angels singing):
I was kind of surprised that my point and shoot could take a decent into-the-sun picture. When I woke up the next time I was over Dallas to land for my lay-over, and it was right at rush hour so it looked really cool from the air with all the lights of cars in traffic- but I was way too tired to even attempt to take a picture of that.
And since the above shots reminded me of watching the sunrise from the top of Mount Haleakala on Maui last December, here's a shot from that too:
Apparently I like my sunsets/rises crooked.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, and my condolences to Oregon Duck fans. :P
Sunsets in airplanes are always spectacular! On a recent flight I took off as the sun was setting and I was headed west so it took forever to completely set. Loved every minute of it.
I listen to my iPod alllll the time, and my dad just lent me his Bose noise cancelling headphones since he only uses them on flights... I love these things! I can't hear my roommate watching TV, or talking (haha), I can't even hear myself typing which is kind of weird.
Anyways if you feel like spending $350 on headphones... They're definitely worth it! Haven't used them on a flight yet but I bet it is awesome to block out the annoying airplane noises and the guy next to you trying to strike up a conversation...
My youngest sister Kylyn turns 18 today! I feel old... my mom hates when I say that.
I've been threatening for the past year to take her up to Canada and get some adult beverages in her when she turned 18. For some reason she doesn't believe me... She's right, I changed my mind to Mexico. Haha!
And following the family trend of every daughter going to Oregon State (there are no sons to ruin the trend), she'll be headed there next fall for veterinary medicine. Probably 'cause she is super smart and likes animals, or something like that...
Happy Birthday Ky!
Hopefully she doesn't see this for a few days, or I might not be getting any cake tonite... :)
Oh yeah and if you didn't already notice, my new web site is live!
My new web site will be launching within the next few days! I'm excited to finally have a flash site... I haven't updated my current site since the spring because of being busy all summer and knowing I'd have a new one soon, so it's nice to know I'll have much more recent work up soon
Here's a screen shot of the entry page:
And one of the Bio page:
And thank you to Suzy for taking my new bio photos while we were in Chattanooga! I am not a huge fan of being on the other side of the camera, but the two of us together do nothing but laugh so it wasn't so bad :)
I just got home late last nite from an amazing trip in Chattanooga, TN with an awesome group of photographers
I met so many great people and had a blast, I wish the trip had been longer!
Here's a shot of some of the group shooting Katie & Chris of 6 of four Creations in an alley - A bicycle cop stopped to check what we were up to - bunch of troublemakers! :)
I was going to post some snapshots from the trip but my house is being exterminated and I left the cable for my point and shoot in there... :( More to come!
Ooooooh pretty!
cool pics! your digi shoots kodak film? that's crazy.

That's awesome. I got one on my way home, too, but no sunset. Look... mackephotography.com/plane.jpg
