Last week Bridgette and I met up at the farm for her senior session, which I knew would be fun as soon as I saw that she'd brought cowboy boots :)

Kyla + James: Maui Wedding

Kyla and James had started planning a "typical" wedding here in Oregon when I met them last fall, but changed their minds over the winter and decided to do what they really wanted - get married on the beach in Maui! I'm glad they did, and I was glad to be there!

Fourteen of their friends and family made the trek, which made for a really casual but intimate day. They even managed to find a secluded beach only a few minutes from the area we were all staying in - I think there were only about 5 other people there, and they were too far away to make any difference! If you're interested email me, and maybe I'll let you in on where it is... :)

Kyla's younger brother Alaster performed the ceremony :)

The whole group!

Kyla's students got her these "Just Married" flip flops, so we definitely had to take a few with them :)

Thanks Jen! I've had a few people ask if I photoshopped the sky into that kissing picture, but it's straight out of the camera - Thanks to my lovely assistant for the day, my boyfriend Mitchell, for holding the flash at stage right :)

And thanks Jen for pointing out that it's all lighting, because I don't really want people asking me to photoshop skies in for them, haha! :)

Marinna

Before I left for Maui Marinna and I met up for her senior session - now she's off in New York taking a 3 week workshop on filmmaking, I wish I were that ambitious in high school! :)

Tiffany + Logan: Engagement Session

Tiffany and Logan will be wed next May - Currently Logan is stationed in Iraq, so we grabbed these photos while he was home on leave over the 4th of July holiday.

They brought along their new beagle puppy Mya! She wasn't really into posing, although she did find a lovely dead fish at the lake... Fish not pictured, haha :)

Sara + Jeremy: Harrisburg, Oregon Wedding

Sara and Jeremy were wed July 5th at Harrisburg Christian Church in my hometown, Harrisburg, Oregon. Sara and I both grew up in this church so we've known each other for quite awhile - it was fun to be a part of her wedding! And since the wedding was in Harrisburg, I had to take them out to my dad's farm for some field shots :)

Congrats, hope you're enjoying newlywed life back home in Seattle!

Laura + Paul: Ariel, Washington Wedding

Laura and Paul tied the knot July 1st at Anderson Lodge in Ariel, Washington. I love the way that these two looked at each other throughout the day, it's obvious that they're meant to be together.

Congrats, thanks for having us!! :)

Super-Rings!

Okay I won't post any more from James and Kyla's Maui wedding until I get caught up on everything else, but I had to post this one, which doesn't look Maui-ish at all :) Wonder Woman and Superman were their cake toppers, so after the cake cutting I swiped them for this:

And yes mom, I am wearing sunscreen :)

Aloha!

I'm at the airport waiting for my flight to Maui to shoot James and Kyla's wedding this weekend! I'll be back in action in Oregon next Thursday - in the meantime I'm hoping to get some work done on my trip, I brought about 80 GB of photos to edit... And I hope to catch up on my blog posts, so hopefully you'll be seeing Maui wedding photos soon! :)

Jamie + Zane: Corvallis Wedding

Jamie and Zane were wed June 28th at the Valley Catering Clubhouse in Corvallis - on a glorious 102 degree day! We didn't realize it was quite that hot until we saw the weather report on Monday, yikes! As you can see, the heat definitely didn't slow down the party:

The rings, on some snapdragons:

Jamie's father officiated the ceremony:

When this group ran past one of them yelled "Use a long exposure and you won't see us!" - haha!

For the reception, Jamie changed into her mother's wedding dress, which she'd had modified:

And I gotta hand it to Jamie - she wore heels all day, then changed into these even higher heels for dancing! The "wear high heels with ease" gene is not one that is passed thru my family :)

Thank you Jamie and Zane for having us!! And once again, thank you Suzy for your mad second-shooting skills :)

Venue: Valley Catering - Corvallis, Oregon
Catering: Valley Catering - Corvallis, Oregon
DJ: Bass is Loaded! - Eugene, Oregon
Cake: Sweet Life Patisserie - Eugene, Oregon
Dress: Fashion Expressions - Albany, Oregon
