Ariel

Back to reality! I got back into Corvallis late yesterday - It was nice to have a weekend away from the computer, but not so nice playing catchup now that the computer and I have been reunited!

It helps that I get to look at pretty faces all day while I work on images, could be worse :) Here are a few more from Ariel's senior session last week:

And a few more of her and her boyfriend Chris:

I'm getting a lot more senior girls wanting some photos done with their boyfriends, too. Dude, my mom would've kicked my behind had I done that for my seniors (ahem!) 14 years ago. *cough* :)

Krista

Krista was so cute, we did her session at the farm last week and the weather turned out perfect. I love her glasses, almost makes me wish I didn't have perfect vision :)

Sidenote, that vine-covered building behind her in the last 2 shots was the "hideout" for my friends and I back in our much, much younger days. If you went in there today I'm pretty sure you'll still find "KK + JTT" doodled everywhere. And "SN + JTT," (sorry Ms. Nolan, gotta give your students some ammunition! haha) "LE + JTT" ..... we had a problem, I don't want to talk about it :)

And yes I'm over it, I think he's still super short and I have an 'over 6 foot' rule ;)

Brian

I'm on a senior blog posting roll today, hence the last few posts having zero words... What can I say, it's tough work putting thoughts into sentences and sometimes I just don't have the time :P

But here's my fav part of the conversation w/ Brian last Saturday:

Me: Isn't the homecoming dance tonite?
Brian: Yeah but I'm going to the Duck game.
Me: Ohhh you're gonna disappoint all the ladies??
Brian: Well my girlfriend's going with me.

Hahaha. My kind of people - except for the Duck part :)

I don't know whose dog this is but it made a cute prop for a second, haha!

Kelsey: Senior Session

Kelsey and I met up last week for a second session before she gets busy with college. We met at 7:30am - and that's how you know I love you :)

Actually it was pretty nice, the light was perfect and it was nice and cool - well actually pretty cold. But that's better than being too hot! Maybe I should do super early sessions more often... But maybe not :)

Brittney: Senior Session

More from last week, Brittney and her mom met me out at the farm for her senior session - Luckily it wasn't too windy and the weather was perfect!

During this session I also discovered that some uh, troublemakers (nicest word I could think of) messed with my old truck over the weekend, also managing to leave a nice array of toilet paper and beer cans out and about >:(

Doesn't it just look sad?? I couldn't get the hood to move at all on my own, but we (this meaning me harassing someone at the farm til they do it) should be able to put it back to normal-looking, and hopefully the gate will be fixed soon - it *may* have been hit by a tractor awhile back, so it hasn't exactly been functional - and no, I didn't do it! My dad will read this and it's out at his farm - sounds like a good fall project, eh dad? :)

Um, yeah, I'm responsible for the broken gate. Nailed the post with the harrow, and I think Tim and Jesse still haven't forgiven me. But dangit, if I hadn't hit it, somebody else would have! Having to clear a gate whilst executing a 90-degree turn with harrow and roller = a major design flaw. That's my defense, anyway. :)

She is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!! She has a "so fresh and so clean" look that I wish I had when I was a high school student! I love her choice of make up, too, very light. Unfortunately, most teenagers feel they need to pack on the make up like some celebrity in order to get noticed; but, Kendra definitely doesn't need all that to be "all that." That close-up of her is my favorite! GREAT SET!!!

Alison: Senior Session

Alison and Kendra met me for their senior sessions last week - They opted to each do the 2-3 hour session and double them up, which worked out to us shooting together for about 5 hours! I think having the extra time paid off, usually seniors are warmed up to the camera and more comfortable by the end of a typical hour-long session, resulting in better photos. So these two were pros when it was all said and done! It also gave us plenty of time to trek around to multiple locations. And all this without trespassing, gotta love growing up in a small town :)

Here are some of my favorites of Alison's, I'm working on Kendra's next so they'll be up soon!

What can I say, when you spend 5 hours with me you get a ginormous blog post ;)

Mallory + Kelsey: Double Senior Session

Earlier this week (is it already Friday?) I met up with Mallory and Kelsey for their double-header senior session.

This is what happens when I choose blog photos in the middle of the nite - yep, this would be Mallory doing almost the exact same thing five times, haha! Don't worry, she's much more talented than that - although the jury is still out on myself :)

And Kelsey, who I managed to mix up a tiny bit more for this post:

Thanks girls, I had fun!!

Ellie: Senior Session

Ellie met me down at the farm yesterday for her senior session - It was crazy windy, but somehow it all worked out!

Also I realized today that the senior galleries on my web site were full of images from umm.. 2 years ago I think? I guess I've been slacking there, my stats show that most people go straight to the blog anyways :) But I updated that today with recent seniors, and you can see more photos of Ellie in a featured gallery there!

Hope everyone in Oregon is managing to stay cool these next few days, I personally don't have AC in my humble abode so I was sitting here with an ice pack on my head earlier this afternoon. Pretty classy :)

Tyler

If I weren't still groggy from the accidental 3-hour nap I took this evening, I would probably have a better time coming up with something to say here!

Luckily we found some sun the other day for Tyler's senior photos. We also found a lot of mud (just ask his mom and her poor shoes!), guess the ground isn't exactly dry yet :) At least I didn't get stuck and have to put my truck into 4WD this time (yep, that happened with Anders last week). Senior sessions at the farm - always an adventure!

Anders - Part 2

Luckily Anders and I found a break in the weather (only had to reschedule about 4 times - anyone want to move to Mexico with me?) to finish up his senior photos - We did a few back in the winter for yearbook, but it was FREEZING so... that's why we only did a few :)

He decided that answering a phone call from his dad was more important than photos, but these ended up being some of my favorites :)

Brianna - Senior Session

Just a few from Brianna's senior session yesterday - The weather turned out to be terrible - rain/snow/hail/wind/cold, but she still needed a yearbook shot so we couldn't wait to reschedule (again).

We jumped into a greenhouse outside of Harrisburg to grab a few shots out of the elements. It actually worked out really well, it was warm (yay!) and the building did an awesome job diffusing the light. Now I want my own greenhouse just for shooting... :)

Thank you to Tina of Budabing Budabloom for making this shoot possible :)  Her greenhouse is right off of I-5 between Albany and Eugene (Harrisburg exit 209), and will be open for the season soon! One of her specialties is gorgeous hanging baskets, the best you'll find in the Tri-County area from what I've seen (and heard from others). Let me know if you'd like her contact info!

Samantha

Last week I met up with Samantha for a quick senior portrait session - she currently holds the record for the senior who's traveled the farthest for their session, coming up to Corvallis from Rogue River (about 200 miles away)! Okay so she was also here to tour Oregon State (go Beavs!), but she could have chosen someone much closer to home so let me have my moment :)

It was pouring outside, but we managed to find a spot to get some shots for the yearbook. We'll be doing an actual outdoor photo session this spring, which I'm already looking forward to - she's very photogenic!

Hannah & Mariah

How gorgeous are these girls? Hannah & Mariah have been best friends their entire lives, and wanted some "friends" photos aside from the solo senior photos. We wandered around aimlessly in downtown Corvallis for a little while yesterday to get some fun shots - and it was freezing cold, these girls are brave!

Just out of curiousity, what camera/lens combo are you using for these pics? Sorry, in the market and want something for great portraits like these ... thanks!

Stephanie

The first time I took Stephanie's pictures we got rained out, but spent a few minutes getting some shots for yearbook to beat the deadline. This time around the weather turned out perfect! You can probably guess that these ones were taken at the farm :)

Brittany

Brittany's senior shoot was 2 weeks ago, I know, I'm a bad person. :) I'm in Florida right now for my friend Suzy's birthday, and with everything I had to get done before I left the blog was last on the list, so I have a few to catch up on!

Andrew

I really want to only put this first one, because... hi, he looks like an Abercrombie ad. It was all him, not me!

But... who doesn't love a boy and a puppy?? :)

Jessica

Jessica and I met up in Brownsville on Tuesday morning for her senior shoot - I don't do a lot of morning shoots, because I'm not a morning person, but I love how these turned out... so maybe I should get up early more often? ..... nah. :)

Ciara

So I'm hoping that maybe someday I'll be back on a "normal" sleeping schedule, but I don't see that happening for awhile! Being awake from 10am to 3am has become the norm for me... can't say that I mind too much, I've never been a morning person :)

A few from Ciara's senior session last week in Brownsville - we got lucky, the rain stopped just long enough to squeeze in her shoot!

Stephanie

Stephanie came down from Salem for her senior session last week - and of course it started raining! She was supposed to meet me at the farm but I had her stop halfway here in Corvallis so we could get something quick for the yearbook.

Sidenote: Why do most of the yearbook deadlines have to be so early in the school year?? If any yearbook teachers are reading this, it's pretty ridiculous and I don't see the reason for it, unless you're purposely trying to stress me out. So push it back a few months next year so my fall seniors have plenty of time. Please. :)

Anyways, we got a pretty good variety for our quick 15 minute shoot, can't wait 'til we give the full-deal another try!

Ivanna & Brandie

Last week I had a double-header senior session with Ivanna and Brandie, who wanted to do their sessions at the same time. It was a lot of fun and luckily the rain didn't join in on the party - thanks girls! :)

Tyler

Okay I am waaaay behind on blogging recent shoots - I've spent the past week moving to Corvallis, then my computer crashed so that's always a fun time-consuming process... Ugh. So hopefully you can expect a LOT of new posts this week as I catch up on everything!

Here are a few from Tyler's session awhile ago, I met him at his family's farm in Halsey for the shoot - his dad wouldn't hear of him doing the session at my dad's farm, because "Kizers have red tractors, not green ones" :)

Just realized he's not *really* smiling in any of these, but trust me I caught him w/ a less-serious look many times! :)

The other day Lacey and her mom came down from Salem for her senior shoot. They were so fun, and despite some insane wind we still managed to get some great shots. Here are just a few!
